I have the perfect spot too snipe from to!! My first station house in NM was in Sunland Park, just outside El Paso Tx, about 1/3 mile from the border. Complete w/ fire watch tower 3 stories up, great view!! Actually used to spot illegals coming across for the Border Patrol crews on duty @ night when we werent doing anything. Who knew being a paramedic could be so much fun!!!

Maybe they're getting them at new Mexico or Arizona shows. Has anyone seen any deals on helicopters? Slicks or guns...
I was actually at a surplus shop in CA back in the late 80's or early 90's, and they had fricken MIG's for $25K. Holy sh!t, i wish i would have bought one. Of course Russia was basically dumping any and everything back then.

Let me get this straight--Most of the drugs come into our country from Mexico and they come from where ever they are produced so they have to get into Mexico some way and I doubt if it is our border -- now they have the balls to tell us that our border is the problem we need to control what goes into their country and if it wasn't for us and our terrible gun laws their criminals wouldn't be breaking the law.

    Give me break!!

The liberals are only just now complaining about the border problems because they realized they can blame something else (falsely) on guns.

Just another example of them using societal problems as a veil while they snatch our rights from under our noses.

I noticed Obama couldn't pass up the chance to spread this garbage last night to the masses.

I saw on Lou Dobbs last week a report where he claimed that the Mexican govt refused to give up the serial numbers on firearms seized from these outlaws. He went on to further state or suggest that the arms might be military issue from the Mexican army. I don't know exactly what is substantiated or not; I wasn't paying close enough attention to accurately repeat what he said. I'm going to find out for myself. Given the glowing level of cooperation we've always gotten from Mexico, I can't imagine what Lou said is true. I keep hearing "95% of the guns seized came from the U.S." so someone is BSing us. Now I know how smokers must have felt when a legal product they used became so scapegoated it might as well been illegal. I wonder what the new antinarcoterrorism tax rate on ammo will be.

EDIT: Ahh, silly me, I saw the Dobbs clip over at RMGO. You probably already saw it. Check it out if you haven't. It might be the only close-to-mainstream source presenting thie point of view.

Drug cartels that specialize in smuggling illegal products across international borders are shopping in the U.S. for "automatic weapons, grenades and ammunition"?

I suppose that's an easier explanation than to assume that they are acquiring their weapons and munitions through other illegal entities in countries with more porous borders.

    Taken from http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/...n4835694.shtml

"Mexican cartels often pay U.S. citizens to purchase assault rifles or other guns at gun shops, then sell them to a cartel representative at a U.S. gun show, where registration rules are much less stringent and the gun sale can't be easily traced."

Speak no truth, hear no truth, see no truth.

Hillary is beaming a huge smile in Mexico as I type.
