Default Gun built after the Airport Screening?

Just came across this. Building guns AFTER you go through the TSA screening?

Real cute but the reality is that a knowledge of basic chemistry and physics can lead you to create all sorts of dangerous "weapons" from common items. It's impossible to keep a place 100% safe and people shouldn't demand that from government; on the other hand, I don't have a problem with forcing the bad guys to be creative rather than letting them take the easy ways out. I'm quite sure Richard Reid (the shoe bomber) had no freaking clue about how much pressure you can create with baking soda and vinegar in a plastic bottle or how to ignite a fire with steel wool and a 9V battery.

I forgot that there just might be 1/2 the membership that does not know how a flashbulb works.

In Y2k we had to destroy some equipment so one of the things I did was to open up a piece and stuff 000 steel wool in it on the circuit cards and everywhere. I put it out 30' from the loading dock with an extension cord.....

When I plugged it in all the young guys were amazed how it blew up.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.

I took shop from 6th grade through high school graduation. Anyone who knows what they are doing and how to do it, CAN and will. Sheepdogs are the only deterrent, and there are fewer everyday.

That's just as likely, if not more, to kill the person holding the gun as it is the target.

if you want to get the body count up at the airport, there is no need to go through security.

just target all the people standing in the line whom the government has rendered defenseless - intentionally

you don't need the blunderbuss, you don't need the shoe bomb, you don't even need a gun - simple as pie.

That's not original. Someone already beat you to it.

I've heard that dry ice in a two liter bottle can be fun, and car accidents just outside the ticket counters make the cops get excited. Heck, then there is always the tried and true anonymous bomb threat. That one seems to work about a half dozen time every year according to the news media.

trot, Sims is an energy dumping capsule that rarely penetrates skin, but it can cause rupture on exposed skin. The 37mm rubber batons are around 200 fps, but even rubber buckshot is much beyond 260 fps. The threshold to break skin with a metal object is under 260 fps and the bone breaking threshold is just over 260 fps. However, a coin would lose velocity so fast that only direct contact would likely cause any real damage, and then the whole canister would relieve the pressure, so maybe a 2nd degree burn would be all.

The guy is an alarmist trying to get cheap attention, and I guess it worked for him.
