No mandatory public service is required under this version of the bill. As long as public service remains voluntary, I don't really see anything in this bill that I have a problem with.

Kids will have to volunteer in order to receive favorable admissions consideration and financial assistance for higher-education that receives govt money, and there won't be a clearly defined policy stating this so they can avoid a legal fuss like there was for race and admissions.

The prohibition against political activity, union-organizing, and the other things in section 1304 will be ignored for "certain" groups.

Isn't that youtube vid from the pre-election campaign trail? I remember that exactly, and have heard nothing like it since. I didn't like it then, and I don't like it now, but it might be a good idea not to pretend they occurred at the exact same space in time. I'm no fan of this bill, but seriously, pretending that a speech six months ago on the campaign trail was given recently about this bill... Please lay ALL the facts out, for people to make up their own minds. Could they be related? Perhaps, but it's up to each and his own to decide.

No one is pretending they happened at the same time, it's showing a campaign promise he's trying to keep. BTW how are things in the fusion center?

well I was watching the tube and I thought that I was watching Obama teaching all these children and such....





Then I saw it was PBS and the show was Curious George
