Part of the reason I'm no longer in LE. Maybe a small part but it was bothering me nonetheless...and that was 12 years ago. I gave up a 14 year career because I just didn't like where LE in general was headed. I miss it...but not the part she's talking about. I'm glad it never came to that for me.

What Josie asks is a valid question. That, as one poster noted, no LE would be expected to answer publicly that question out of FEAR of losing one's ability to make a living and follow their chosen career path ... I can't put into words what I feel that American citizens that have chosen to put themselves in harms way to serve their fellow citizens can't speak up and say what is on their minds. Have we fallen so far to be that afraid? These are good and valiant men and women and now that they know the question, cannot answer as their assumed masters don't approve and will punish them for their opinion and their supposed freedom to speak their minds. Of course it could be strategic to stay silent and not let the masters know who in their ranks will stand for freedom when push comes to shove. I just hope they will stand up to be counted when it starts to happen and not just follow orders. It may even be too late at that point. It may be too late already but I pray that our LE will not become the tool of a force for evil under the guise of doing what is best, good, fair and right for our own good.

I will stand with you. I know that ain't much but it is all I have.

Isn't this question what Oath Keepers is all about? https://oathkeepers.org/oath/

A lawful society is somewhere between Anarchy and Tyranny.
