    Default 300wtf/aac/whisper for yotes

Have any of you guys used this for yotes? Looking at first big snow for up close fun with my ar. Looking at the 110vmax for 200yd and in. I have plenty of other proven calibers, just looking at adding one more to the list...I know a bunch of pigs have met their end, but was wondering about pelt damage blah blah blah...My uncle has 2 yotezillas that we busted while combining that need to meet their end...

The bullet type is what will really cause the damage. 30 cal is just a little bit bigger hole which can be easily fixed. Now a 3-5 inch exit hole makes the pelt almost worthless
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

I smoked a coyote head on at about 50-60 yards with a 125 Nosler Ballistic Tip. It was kinda messy. The pelt was a total loss.

I'd love your opinion on 300BLK and hunting in general. 300BLK is a nice round to "fix" the .224+ caliber requirement in Colorado for stuff like pronghorn, deer, etc.

Our neighbors to the north allow 5.56/223 for antelope and deer, but the nonresident tags are too expensive for my liking.

A ballistic tip was messy? Say it ain't true. LOL.

I once shot a 3x3 at about 10' with an AR and 50gr bal tip. I was calling coyotes, blowing a dying rabbit call and he came out bristled up swinging his head. Not sure his intentions, but wasnt about to be gored or bred. . I found the deer but not a single drop of blood.

as was stated above, the bullet type is going to determine how messy it gets.

That's what i was thinking for both bullets, i have some loaded up in the 125gr SGK, any experience with those? If all else fails, i could run my 147FMJBT's, but they're in and out....

The only 125s I have shot are the Nosler Ballistic Tips and the Sierra Matchking.

Heavier HP/SP round with a slower speed might be best to avoid an exit wound. Don't think you want subsonic, but maybe close to it? I have yet to hunt yotes, so I can't say what the effects of different rounds are on them.
