Transplanted here, living in wheat ridge now, right off I70, lived here for a year. Commute to Denver Metro for work...leave at 7 get to Leetsdale/Monaco in about 45mins. Lived in Belmar before that, about 10min less on that commute time. Lots of apt complexes in both Lakewood and Wheat Ridge. Some more ghetto than others (my current apt).

Thanks for the info guys. I am either going to make the move in jan or may. I have a year left to finish up my degree in psychology and will apply to one of the police academies in denver. NOCO doesn't really offer much in academies and I'm not interested in doing AIMS's academy in greeley because it's too spread out. I'd rather just knock it out in 3-4 months than wait a year. This is just a temp move to finish up my studies and get the academy out of the way, I won't likely be staying in the area any longer than I need to.

Parker. Mayor says Merry Christmas. Outside of the AMC, no one seems to have any issue with carrying concealed or otherwise as far as businesses go. There is access to the light rail via about a 20 minute bus ride.

Englewood, is not to bad. Close to downtown, relatively inexpensive, light-rail to campus if you need and close to the highway to gtf outta-town. Shoot me a PM if you want more info.

Living in Lakewood puts you on a light rail line (6th Avenue) and you'll be close to Red Rocks Community College which has a pretty good academy if I remember right.

parker, golden or broomfield/westminster. problem with all of the above is cost. we are building in broomfield right now, i like it best of all, the corridor between 136th, 144th, i-25 and sheridan. very nice area but its pricey.
