I assume you'll have to trek into Denver to go to school, correct? I'd look at commute times depending on what time in the morning or evening you'll be heading into Denver. I'd recommend somewhere along US 36 in the northern part of the Metro area so you could miss the traffic on I25 at all times north of Denver. Going into Denver in the mornings on 36 really isn't too bad as everybody is travelling north and you'd be going south. The opposite is true if you'd be travelling the most in the evenings. Broomfield, Westminster are pretty good depending on the place you choose.

Go the homeless route and stand on a corner for lunch money between classes. you might have to beat down a bum to take his corner though.

Default Good city to live in surrounding Denver?

I'd go south so you can take that light rail thing. They don't send it up north or I would be more inclined to go downtown with the wife for dinner and drinks.

    Centennial or Littleton maybe?

If you wanted to live close to campus and live in the city but not Denver, check out Glendale.

That's actually a really good point. Or you could go out to Lakewood and do the same as they have the rail out on 6th Ave now.

6th Ave and Union there are some reasonably priced apartment complex's and a pretty decent area overall.

I'm south and like it--in a stretch of unincorporated Arapahoe County bordered by Centennial and Greenwood Village. One mile from the light rail, 15 miles from downtown. (I'm between Arapahoe and Orchard). You get much farther away from Metro and you'll be cussing the traffic. On a heavy traffic day the commute is 30-35 minutes, tops. No traffic it's 18 minutes. I'm about 6 blocks from Metro downtown, so you could take 5 minutes off my times coming in or Auraria.

Yes, and tell'em you're a gay foreign national so people will feel guilty and double down on the donations.
