    Default Speedloader for Ruger LCR

So my wife's concealed carry piece is an LCR 38special. I have done some searching on the Internet but am not really able to find a good speedloader that will fit it. Mostly mixed reviews online.
Anyone have any experience with this or a product they can recommend? She won't use the speedstrips and loading one at a time takes too much time unless you practice and she won't do that either

Thanks for any thoughts y'all might have...

I'd be interested as well. Tagged for responses.

HKS 36A works for almost every J-frame style 5 shot 38/357 revolver. Been buying them at garage sales and gun shows , in the used misc bins.

Those are the ones I used for the LCR. Not quite perfect but close enough. You can start the cartridges into the cylinder and then release them and let them drop in.

I've had the same speed loader, used it for the ruger sp101, never could get it just past the frame enough to drop the cartridges in. Same deal on the LCR, the frames are too small/short for it to work properly.

I carry speed strips for my LCR. my 2 cents.

I use 5-Star speedloaders with my Ruger LCR and SW 638. They are made of machined aluminum and hold the rounds without much wiggling. A quick turn of the knob releases the rounds with a positive click.

I've tried the HKS36A and just couldn't get the cartridges to seat smoothly. Those 5-star ones look interesting, will have to try one out.
    Thanks for the feedback all...

The 5star's design allows easier seating , unlike the HKS unit that doesn't have the relief areas.
