Yea, that would work as well as it has for the USACE construction market....

I will take it for $1, call me to let me know when I can pick it up.

As far as the original question that was posted, no, it doesn't really bother me. I just don't reply to those idiots. Although, maybe a reply back with a price higher than my listing would be fun.
I feel that anyone who does not at least TRY to buy stuff at the lowest price is either damn rich or a fool. The majority of sellers will price the item that they are selling at a little higher than they really want for it, expecting to get the lowball offers anyhow.. If someone does pay the original asking price then the seller is just that much ahead of the game. A good degree of diplomacy is necessary when either buying and/or selling so neither will be considered to be an asshol-. Some buyers with very limited funds may see an item that they really need and have wisely placed his reasonable limit on what he can afford and offer so if they hit the seller at a point where he just wants to get rid of the damn thing, he may jump at the low offer.

I understand people want to negotiate. Not the issue. But there is a way to go about it. Guy today called and asked what lowest price was. Didn't make an offer just asked how low I could go. If you don't like the listed price make me an offer (by the way half of the listed price is not an offer i will take seriously).

I ignore them, no ticket no laundry.

When I post a price I expect you to make an offer, then I will counter & hopefully we can meet in the middle somewhere, that's the American way.

Well shit, there's that too. They would be pretty hard to carry around though.
