If I ever find myself in Denver in the afternoon I'll make it a point to stop in. It's a bit too far off of the beatin' path for me otherwise, but I certainly applaud your efforts to get this put together.

Matt, I'm liking this idea more and more. There was a question posed regarding CCW on the premises. Your response? (It's understood that carrying means a ODPH (one drink per hour) limitation is agreed to.)![]()

My response is twofold: 1. As you can probably guess, as far as I am concerned please carry a 20" AR and two extra mags concealed into my by UNLESS you can somehow conceal a howitzer. 2. Never ever ever ever ask anyone that question again; it gives them the oppty. to say no!
The first one of "us" showed up tonight, nice guy with a pretty girl. We had a blast talking about guns AND wine.... we managed to look like two guys who don't have a bunch of gasmasks and sandbags in our basements! I'll refrain from posting his name and leave that up to him, but THANKS!
Funny aside; I stopped by my "pusher" on the way to work and picked up an order that 3-4 of us had put in together. It occured to me as I parked that I was probably the only person who had ever gone to manage a swanky wine bar with 120 lbs of gunpowder in his trunk.
Had a nice time visiting with you last night Matt. You had some great wine recos and the "pretty girl" really enjoyed the evening as well. So, thanks! It has been months since I have been to Trios - since the previous manager surrendered their tobacco licence and cigars weren't allowed anymore. I'll definitely be back more frequently now that I know you're there. I recommend anyone interested in wine (or any other beverages or delicious apps) swing by and introduce yourself to Matt, he's a good guy. Also, I vote yes to putting together a monthly 2A HH at Trios.
Alright, you talked me into it. I will try to stop by asap.
What nights are you there- or should I say- what nights are you not there?
We need much, much more of this -especially us newbies.
We'd be travelling to a mecca for government employees and the financial establishment that supports them.
If your bar got "outed" as pro2nd, wouldn't that hurt business? If the pseudo-intelligentsia got ahold of this, their brain dead minions in popular media would make a big deal of this.
Besides being violently intolerant of anybody who disagrees with them, they are also a potent economical force - since they rarely contribute to charity, they have more economical clout that non-libs.
I'm just, actually, afraid if it gets OUT that your bar will suffer.
I'd be up for it, but wine isn't my thing, although I can drink it!
Is this something people are still interested in or is still going on?
I noticed almost all the post are very very old.
There are many places in Denver and the sourounding area (so no one has to deal with LoDo) that would be more then happy to have this group.
We had a get-together in the Springs a couple years ago. Was at a pizza place next to the movie theater.
Was a little awkward, but I still think the idea has merit.
I was thinking about this and maybe its just the wrong environment.
It might be cool to have a range day?
I know there is a ton of work to get something like this organized but it sounds to me like a good way for folks to come out and get to know some like minded people. and possibly shoot some guns![]()
