I would certainly say the active shooter training is paying off. Multiple agencies worked together very well inside. There was a lot that went exactly how training goes and lot that we never even thought of that was taught.

I get the feeling that "Active Shooter" is similar in nature to "Broken Arrow". Every available asset rolls in response.

As a longtime volunteer for DOW/CPW, I can attest that the majority of their female officers and employees are attractive, highly competent, and most are as nice as can be. It's always a pleasure to work with them.

I've also been involved in active shooter training for LEOs. I think in time as more attacks are shown to be unsuccessful that we'll see fewer of them. The Aurora theater shooting seemed to be an anomaly in that there was no one armed and able to confront the perp. In don't think that would happen in our town. We have to eliminate the gun free zones and the politicians who support them.

That should make them pretty capable field officers.
State level officer. State POST requirements. Probably is assigned to either Cherry Creek or Chatfield state park, if I was a betting man.

Probably the latter. Cherry Creek park is a pretty good distance away.

The command post communications, once up, ran pretty smoothly in my opinion and they relayed information as it came in and relayed what they wanted. There never seemed to be a power struggle at all.
You luckily missed it then. There was quite a bit of the old "who's got the bigger penis" going on there. Quite a bit of the need for media attention as well. ACSO and Sheriff Grayson Robinson did a great job in handling this.

There were people there from a very long distance away, wanting to assist.

I get that impression too, especially at a school. I think every school within the metro area was locked down. The kids also said that they noticed increased police presence at the local schools.

    They learned from Columbine.

A friend of mine tried to make time with female DWM in North Park one time ... we were betting she'd arrest him but I guess lines from a 78 year old man have a different reception.
