Best way to get in to see me at the shop is to call or email Shannon and make an appointment.

Probably depends on what type of work you do. I'm partial to Danners, but only the US made models. You should sign up at "The Breakroom" and get notified of great deals from Danner. I bought a pair of Raptors about a year ago because they were 1/2 price and just started wearing them last week when it got cold.

Re-sole... because good boots broken into your foot are worth it.

i would but the carcas is also hammered on my current red wings the soles are worn flat but they are also steel toe and the steel has worn a hole though the leather, and on my Irish setters the plastic heel has worn threw the liner along with the flattened sole and last I checked it cost about $100 to re sole a good pair of boots. I can't complain about these two pairs of boots since I have had them for around 3 years

I'm seriously tempted to get eithe the redwing 10877 or 10875 but they are $250 and I can't find a place to try them on. The major deciding factor will be American made boots

Dr. Martins are the best safety shoes I have ever worn. The steel toes, not OSHA rated, have lasted ten years and still going strong. There iare some that are being made in the UK that still have the same quality DK is known for.

I prefer to have a side zip boot because it is easier and quicker for responding in the middle of the night. The last two pair of boots I have bought are the Rocky Alpha Force. The first pair lasted about 2 years before I wore the soles off. I am a year into my second pair. They have a composite toe not steel toe. A couple of the other guys have ordered them as well now, and they agree they are comfortable.
I also have a pair of Cosmas which are super comfy, but I don't wear them as often.

Danner Acadia (made in USA!) - Bailey Guns sold me a pair about a year ago and I'm loving them. I wear them everyday in all conditions (I build houses). They are comfortable and wearing well so far. I'd recommend them to anyone.
