I miss my Altamas (Basic training issue). I wore them just about every day for 15 years, and they took everything I threw at them and came back for more. The soles finally cracked in half, and I had no idea you could get boots re-soled! I need to get another pair.

I don't wear boots at work, but I do wear Redwing shoes with hard toe boxes and reinforced shanks.

The BOA lacing system is pretty cool, as I only wear these at work. A little heavy, but they've save my toes on numerous occasions.

I'm broke so only owned one pair or Red Wings. Literally was the most comfortable boots my feet ever been in. No break in required. The timberline boots I'm wearing now were so bad breaking in that it was a 4 to 5 hours at a time. Better bring your old boots type of deal.

I was issued a set of Converse boots, and since then I have purchased with my own money a couple more set - now branded as reebok, but are the same....
They are a little rough breaking them in, but afterwards are like tennis shoes... seriously comfy. Safety toe and all.

Reebok Stealth, I buy the RB8990 so I can use in uniform, but they also come in tan. They have lasted about 3 years, worn 5-6 times a week. I will continue to buy, they are that amazing. Super light and feels like a running shoe
