sent from a soup can and some string..
There's a firefighter here who recommends AGAINST doing that. Neighbors house burns, bushes catch, heat pops your window, your house burns.

Fixed. And nope. Actually thorny shrubs and trees make a great security barrier. With the right plants that is. Helps keep the neighbor kids out of your yard to.

I replaced all of the garage door remotes in my car with key fob remotes.

How many of you keep your registration/insurance in your car? Your address is pinted on them. Having a garage door opener in your car is a ready way of getting into your house of which the bad guy knows right where it is and also knows now you are not home.

I also changed the "Home" address in my GPS to some place nearby but not my house.

Good thinking. Seeing as you are required to keep your registration/insurance in your vehicle and it should be within reach in case you get pulled over, is there a good way to combat this?

I was going to do this as well, since I want to eventually get my HAM license on a PO box anyway for security reasons.
