I believe that the persecution (coming and already existent) is waking some up.

Good thread and discussion. "Love the sinner but hate the sin" is absolutely the teachings of Christianity. I do have some lib/progressive family and acquaintances. The most liberal of them completely reject that idea, and claim it is impossible to hate sin but love the sinner - and Christians only say that as a way to obfuscate their bigotry toward others. I have unsuccessfully tried to explain this, but my current thinking is there may be no understanding or accommodation reached with the most left of the bunch. Sad, but no reason to give up...

Probably some hipster with an MBA from an Ivy League who used to giggle with their hipster friends about how Ironic it was that they, progressive thinker, suddenly had a job at Cracker Barrel of all places!!

I love their food, damn good thing there isn't one near me! But the last time I was in one the host that seated me was one of the gayest dancing fairies I've ever seen. The kind of guy who'd go for maximum shock value in a Gay Pride parade.

I have nothing against gays, we have several gay friends. I don't understand it, but it doesn't bother me as long as they act like regular folks, which our friends are. Good people, just different lifestyles.

But people who go way over the top with flamboyance and other "LOOK AT ME!" in-your-face actions and dress, regardless of sexual orientation, bother me. One of the things that gross me out the most is dreadlocks, can't stand them and have zero respect for anyone I see with them. Ugh.

Liberal progressivism is a mental health disorder, pure and simple. They typically did not deal well when their pet goldfish died and mommy flushed it. They then use it to justify their vegan beliefs, or blame it for their violent tendencies, and why no one should have guns. The preacher at church didn't sugar coat things enough for them, so church is bad. I think if you look at their upbringing, just like a couple of other mental health issues we are dealing with now, they had some problems growing up. Mommy and Daddy weren't good parents to them, either in their eyes, or in reality.
