Not surprising. He does not like what the fame is doing to his family and wants to get back to preaching rather than doing the shows. Kind of interesting that this happens right after Chris Cheng (Top Shot) finally admits he is a homosexual. I'd spend a day hunting and fishing with either one of them. Too bad we have to mix all this junk in with everything now.

I think we all kinda knew Cheng was a non-breeder. Even then, from his Wikipedia profile:

They should go shooting then. They can always tell the "gay mafia" that learning to shoot is their right to self-defense against hate mongers. I'm not sympathetic to the homosexual agenda but I think they have the same right to self-defense that any other law-abiding American has.

My first reaction, however, was to be thankful that my life, my personality, my whatever isn't structured and set up to be susceptible to that kind of unspoken peer pressure.

Screw a&e! I am now joining the millions boycotting the network, looking at Facebook etc this decision is costing a&e dearly pissing off the main base of its most popular show.

I'm so surprised (not). I have been more surprised to find a show like "Duck Dynasty" on a network like A&E -- I suspect the programmers originally thought it would be a show that would let the self-appointed "intelligentsia" and "elite" laugh at the rubes and rednecks and were surprised by its popularity. A&E has led the way in subtly trying to make homosexuality seem more common and mainstream; I don't have an issue with that but I suspect it has a lot to do with their reaction.
