Default Ultimate Reloader article: Finding, Validating & Managing load data

This is a nice, concise overview of the thing to 'think about' when searching for load data. Also, what to do with it once you find it!

I happen to be of the opinion that user-submitted load data websites are not "great" places to get load data.

Correct but it can help you with a starting point especially if you cannot find published data. I use a lot of titegroup powder and sometimes have trouble finding published data and currently I am loading 45 gap which has limited data also. Everything should be taken with a grain of salt and double checked. Even some published load data is incorrect probably due to fat fingering and or poor editing, so again unless you double check that data against another book it could be bad.

Yep, I load 200gr plated extreme bullets. The only titegroup load it shows for 200gr is for GDHP @ 4.1gr. My Glock 39 would not cycle at 4.0 gr. Of course its only got 100rds through it so its still stiff. But I had to go to 4.2 to even get it to cycle the slide and that's as low as I can go on the 200gr plated RN. 4.0 gr with a 165gr GDHP wouldn't cycle either, so 4.1 probably wouldn't be that reliable either.

Hogden didn't show any 230gr loads, and very limited 200gr. And where is the load data for promo powder?

Plated bullets usually act more like cast lead bullets for me, than jacketed.
