Aaaawwww, that's too bad. The guy is a scam artist at best. He gives financial advice after filing bankruptcy and recommends businesses and their services if they are willing to pay to be on his preferred list.

The guy is a total d-bag. I worked at a fence company and he came in and told us that if we give him free fencing he would give us a good review. He wanted $10,000 worth of fencing, we told him to go pound sand.
Tom always tells people to never buy the extended warranty when they buy electronics like TV's. I was in Best Buy getting a new TV and they asked if I wanted an extended warranty when I told them Tom says not worth the extra money. They proceeded to tell me Tom was just in that store the week before and bought a number of electronics including a TV and got the extended warranty on all of them, lost all credibility with me.

Tom used to shop at a computer retail store I worked at. He came in expecting special pricing and service, my manager always gave it to him, and we always got a good rating....
If you buy a name brand product like Panasonic or Sony the extended warranty is a waste of money. If you buy an Insignia or Vizio you better spend the extra $$ on the warranty. After 10 years in business I have yet to have to replace a single TV I have sold.. However I have replaced several TVs that clients insisted on buying themselves because they were cheaper than what I was selling and they didn't want to listen to what I was telling them.Originally Posted by Big E3
