    Lightbulb Kydex Cheek Rest

    Me and a friend made a Kydex cheek rest for a Savage MK 2 FV-SR. Turned out pretty good for only spending $15. Still need to cut some slots in the rest so it can adjust up and down.

    Well, my rifle parts are arriving Monday, as per usual when I've got nothing to do on the weekend. I decided I wanted a Fortis RED comp on the shorty AR, so I drilled out the weld and removed the pin from the suppressor adapter, and took the adapter off. At this point it's only a barrel, so not an NFA item. I actually called the Denver office of Batteries and Funny Excuses (BATFE) and they said separate the upper and lower and keep them in different locations to be legal with the 14.5" barrel, but I've only got this one location, so that won't work.
    I also took the Lantac Dragon comp off the scoped AR, and put the suppressor adapter on that rifle. No sense in having a hush-kit if it's not on a gun! I REALLY need to just weld everything together so I stop playing "swapordinance" with these things.
    So, now I've got a Dragon comp without a host...hmmm...time to build another AR!!!

    I just love how this works out.
