I've been looking at one of those, interesting solution. I may have to invest in one, since I seem to be incapable of stopping the building and re-building of AR's

So, Buffalobo, are you sayin' you've got more than one minion??? I really have to get some more minions.

Kazoo, that reminds me, in addition to more minions, I need me some "free time on my hands". I'm still trying to catch up with everything they left for me while I was on vacation for almost two weeks. I KNOW y'all know what that's like.
Actually, I'll be in Greeley Monday, but after that job, I need to get back to Ft. Fun for a job, then down to Castle Rock, then who knows what.
I did spend some time inventorying my misc. AR parts stash. If I'm going to build another AR, I need to try to use up some of the leftovers from other builds/rebuilds. I'm a little bit hampered by starting out with a 14.5" barrel with .625" at the gas-block. I did finally give up on the YHM forearm that I have. It had a cut-out for a FSB, but I want to run a free-float forearm a lot closer to the flash-hider/suppressor. It's starting to look like an Alpha rail. It uses the standard barrel nut and I have a couple of those. I'm going to need a QD socket and something for a flip-up Magpul front BUIS, which I also have from past excursions into the re-build fun.
I tend to use the heck out my ARs, so I'm thinking a blem Aero Precision upper and lower. Stupid low prices and the one I have on one of my 3gun carbines is excellent. They called last week and wanted to know if I wanted to be a dealer for them, but my home-based FFL business isn't close to what they would expect in volume, so I immediately gave up on the idea of asking for dealer pricing.
The whole impetus for this build is that I took the YHM flash-hider/suppressor mounts off of my two 3gun rifles and put a Lantac Dragon comp on one and a Fortis RED on the other. I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't put one of MarkCO's Gas Hawgs on this one, and then I'd have to build ANOTHER AR. Those Gas Hawgs are just rad.
Yeah, seeing a pattern here...definitely, definitely seeing a pattern...
I swapped scopes on an AR and my 40X. The AR had a 20X Super Sniper, the 40X a 16X Super Sniper. I wanted more power on the 40X for shooting down at the OTC.
In the process, I discovered the reticle on the 20X was canted a degree or so. I generally test every scope before mounting, but this one slipped past me. It doesn't matter much (I set the erector plumb, not the reticle), but it took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on.

I hit the reset button on the bench. You know, when you just have to put all the tools and stuff away so you can see the bench top, and start over. It was refreshing.
Bought a new CZ P-07 and replaced the plastic captured guide rod and hammer spring plug with stainless parts that I machined with optimized dimensions. Can't believe how much $$$ people pay for these things.
Four tack welds is no longer considered "permanent" as a means of muzzle device attachment.
Silver solder with 1100 degree melting point.
Blind pin and weld.
Continuous fusion weld for at least 180 degrees of barrel circumference.
Those are the three accepted methods in the BATFE regulations.
(they shit canned the 4 tacks in 07 or 09)

Yeah, I got the message. It looks like maybe one more tack weld and I'll actually have the 180 degrees. I think that I've reached the age that most of my information is obsolete.
