I put three new Steiner T5Xi scopes through my test routine on the jig. There's been a bunch of name calling and bad love over on the Hide about the tracking of these scopes so I decided to go look for myself. The short version is that all three were perfect. I'll post a report later if there's any interest, or it's already up over on the Hide.

I had this airsoft SVD I got for my son last year and go to wondering if I could massage a Savage .22 into it......well after some work and a long weekend in the basement I came up with this.
I was able to figure out how to get the stripped Savage action to mount securely with only on tapped mounting spot on the receiver that wont affect the appearance if removed. The SVD took most of the work. Little filing here and there. The fake mag cover was maybe the trickiest part, cut and grind until it worked. It slips right over the factory 10 rd. It is purely for looks. I have not fired it though. The barrel was originally 16.5" so I extended it with a threaded portion that is much wider then .22LR. I plan of locating a 20" barrel and replace it. The joint is right under the gas piston were it attaches to the barrel. Other than that it functions dry charging and the safety still function. The SVD safety goes up and down but is just for looks.
I weathered it with some steel wool afterwards.
Thoughts?
Yes that is a 7.62X54R casing extending the charging handle. I modded it for my son so he can use his whole hand to charge to the rear. The original was very small and tough for larger hands.

NO RANGE FOR YOU!!!.....NEXT!!!
My boy just turned 5 so I picked him up a little 50 atv. I just couldn't bring myself to pay for a trailer (his and mine won't fit in the bed) YET....... So I made a receiver rack for it.
Going to trial run it and make sure I don't need anymore tie downs etc., then off to powder coat.
(Thanks again BP!)
That's cool. I wish I could weld.

Dismantled the newly arrived S&W Model 10. Cleaned it up, smoothed some rough areas and put a drop of lube here and there. Maybe some day I'll shoot it.
worked on the JRC 45 conversion i installed. Damn thing was not extracting, feeding right. Which is annoying since the 9mm unit worked flawlessly out of the box. Pulled bbl & cleaned, then polished the chamber. Before i couldn't get past 4-5 rounds w/out an issue. This afternoon mags without a hiccup. Now to see how it runs suppressed.
