Put a new Dawson Precision fiber optic front sight onto my RIA 1911. Original sight was just a solid ramp. It took some fitting with my triangle file, but got a nice tight fit. And the new fiber optic front sight is super quick to pick up. Can't wait to test it out at the range. For now I'm going to stick with the red fiber that was pre-installed, but want to try out the included green fiber optic.

I need to pick up a gun blue touch-up pen to clean up the marks from the aluminum punch they included with the sight, and to touch up the un-blued parts of the slide left visible from the wider original sight.
