Cleaned the PPQ and AR used in the 3gun Saturday at Pawnee. Found out why the 870 was jamming up. Cleaned that too, and polished the chamber. (That wasn't why it was jamming.) Turns out SOME of my 12ga reloads were a bit wide at the very base, just above the rim. They jammed into the chamber and locked up pretty good. Other reloads and factory loads were fine. I've got cases and cases of factory loads so apparently that's what will be used from now on!

Finishing up the new shed/shop/man-cave. Was eating dinner outside w/ the family, started getting a little chilly. Moved wheelbarrows and ladder out, picked up the tables and chairs and ate "indoors".

I measured the depth to the lands on my precision AR. The round count is somewhere between 1,000 and 1,500. The lands eroded away 0.068" in that time. There's no way to seat the bullet far enough out to get within 0.020" of the lands and still fit in the magazine, but I loaded 10 that way anyway. I'll just single feed them. I'm interested to see if they shoot any better than the stuff loaded to mag length.

Once find an affordable [under $80] one i'll lyk. Plan B is to raise the plate the motor sits on to allow use of smaller sized belt.

Mounted and balanced 11 motorcycle tires, did 2 oil changes, installed a battery in a Ducati Multistrada. Now I get to do steering head bearings on a Road King. Oh joy.

Tried out the 45 degree offset mounts for some BUIS on an AR. They were too close-in for use with the scope. Back to trying to find some extended ones. Well, ONE extended one, I have ONE, but need two.
Cleaned and inspected the new PPQ in 9mm. I've got a .40 one for sale now. Logged in the two LCPs and cleaned and function tested the one I might use as a BUG. When the trophy wife got her LCP, she wanted something that would keep it upright and ready for action in her purse. I found a Hunter leather holster that is actually intended for pocket carry. It presents a flat piece on the outside so it doesn't print in the pocket. (Made in Westminster, or Thornton or something, amazing...) .
So, I have a Smith Bodyguard 380, and the holster said it was for the BG380, so I tried both, the BG380 one actually works for both, but the LCP conceals better in the BG380 holster. Just an FYI for y'all.
AND, cleaned and functioned tested the new Remmy VersaMax 12ga. Nice shotgun, can't wait to try it out at the range.
Then, I looked at the reloaders, and said "All be bak", just like the Terminator. I'm sure it was impressed.

We ran the test yesterday. The conditions weren't great as the wind was up pretty good. There didn't appear to be a lick of difference between the two. Both shot into groups a little less than 1/2". Good enough for me.
