Okay, long version...I have found that my forearms get REALLY hot in the summer. (Sorry, just read that...not MY forearms, the AR15 forearms). And I don't like to shoot with gloves. So...I've been looking for an inexpensive solution. I did a paracord wrap on the forearm on my "longer distance" 3-gun rifle. I hadn't shot with it yet, but it made it a large diameter forearm again, which is not what I was looking for. Then, I saw this item online, someone is making a fabric wrap for a forearm. "Kewl" I said, that's what I'm looking for. Except, it's a "one-size-fits-all solution". No cut-outs for small rail sections, bipod mounts, iron sights, etc. So, I made my own. Hey, who didn't want to learn to use a sewing machine at 61? The prototype worked out GREAT! Pics to follow.
Lol. If my forearms get hot I just roll up my sleeves.
Looking forward to the pictures. I'm picturing some sort of header wrap looking stuff.
(Oh, and I usually call them "handguards" to avoid any confusion with parts of my anatomy.)

Okay, here's the pic to get Ray's blood pressure back down...
The rail section is for the light...night 3-gun/zombie shoot stuff. I could also open up the area just behind it for the sling QD, or a space on the bottom for a bipod mount. The point is, I can open up any area that I want, unlike the mass-produced stuff. I'm all about doing it my way. Next up for the sewing machine is some multi-cam for this one.

Thanks. I haven't used it yet. But I will use it at Hoser's monthly match which is currently 300 yards, and at Raton which if memory serves is 470. Not sure what's realistic in terms of hitting probability at XXX distance. My ability, practice and time will tell I suppose.
