Hey MarkCO, I know you are familiar with the Versamax, my Nordic charging handle came out of my shotgun bolt at the Freedom Shoot. We found it (thanks, Collin!), and today I took it all apart, and it seems to be retained fine, but I can't figure out why it fell out. Any thoughts?
It was laying right next to the staging table for a 3 gun stage starting with the shotgun, it shot the stage fine, after the run I put into the bag, and it was missing when I got to the next stage. It takes a fair amount of force to pull it out of the bolt.

Were you shooting Prairie Storm or a magnum 2-3/4"? Those are sometimes the culprit. Or, you just did not get it bottomed in the detent.

Made this DIY bucket swamp cooler just for fun. I think I'll make another one with my neice for her science fair project, then make a solar generator with my daughter for her project, then run the cooler with the generator to secure the win. It works okay, not cooling down the whole house by any means, but nice to sit near. The most important part is getting your drip line to drip at a pace that keeps your media wet. Originally I wanted to get a 6" fan and run it from a right angle 6" PVC so it could be directional. I decided to do this at the last second and just went with what Home Depot had. As far as the combined science fair project, I think mounting the solar panel to the roof of the dog house, the charger in the dead space in the ceiling, and the cooler on the outside blowing in through a hole in the wall would be a sure winner. A solar powered air conditioner for the dog house? In what school wouldn't that be a winner? Who cares if the dog never uses the dog house?

2 3/4 Federal target loads. Same thing I always shoot with this gun. It fell out AFTER the third stage was shot.
It actually takes a fair amount of prying to get it to come out on purpose. It's in there nice and tight right now, so it's a mystery. I'm thinking I'll pick up another one in case it happens again.

Made a shot shell holder for the break down 22lr/20ga rifle.

Holds 9 rounds of 20 gage and fits in the storage bag. Or 8x 20 ga and ~50 of 22lr.

    Constructed of 3/4 pvc pipe.

Heck, it's been forever, so I thought I'd give it a go...cleaned three rifles after sighting-in-extravaganza yesterday. New peep sights on the Henry Golden Boy, Browning model 92, and moved a Leopold 1x4 to an AR15.
I need smaller peep apertures. Better than buckhorns though.

Also, continued the ongoing effort to organize, clean up, consolidate, etc. the gun-cave. OMG, will this never end? Don't answer that. I don't want to know.

Pulled the sway bar bushings on my truck and lubed them and reinstalled them. No more embarrassing creak/squak noise.

Then broke out the wood working tools and made my wife a couple of pine boxes for her soap making hobby. Even stained them and everything.

Was as going to mow but it rained here last night and with the cooler temperatures and general lack of sunshine I deemed it too wet to mow today.

Wish some of my firearms were dirty so I could clean them. Unfortunately, they are all squeaky clean.

Spent a good 30+ minutes yesterday with Justin looking for some 240 gr B/Out bullets in a white box, Big John gave me. No luck. John stops by today, ask him what box they were in. A Red HORNADY box. Oh... Opened component cabinet BAM RIGHT THERE. Now if i could locate that AK.
