UPS is just North west of the WM on 287, take the light north of there, turn west / right. . The fedex hub USE to be off that road where New Belgium is. I "think" they moved to HWY 34.

    they are open M-Th-Fri 12 noon - 5:30

Fedex shows drop boxes in 3 ft fun locations, but you need to go to the hub.

. Learn from the experiences of life grass hopper. You too shall expand the horizons of everything.
That's the only place to ship firearms from, same for ammo. UNLESS you find, gun friendly counter help at one of ups (individually owned) stores.

If so post it for one and all so we may become enlightened.

Why not just schedule a pickup from your home/office? Fill everything out online and print your label.

Some FedEx depots will not ship ammo. Even labeled ORM-D. I recently had that experience. Sometimes a gun store will ship it for you for a fee.

No extra fee at least. Shipping heavy ammo is not what one could call cheap (unless comparing it to driving it there yourself)

    When ordering ammo...
Most will not accept ammo for "hold for pickup".

    The short story...
Since I'm at work most days, and there is a Fedex place near work, I chose to have a shipment re-routed to the store as "Hold for Pickup".
The fedex site even gave me my store as a selection from the drop down.

When I arrived, the manager had a fit and told me to never send ammo to his store again.
He gave me 3 of the 4 boxes, but could not find the 4th one.
At that point, he began to panic.
After 1.5 hours, we found them at the Fedex main station at Kalamath and 48th.

I spoke to a lady when I arrived there. She said that if I want to "Hold for pickup", this location is the only "official" place.
She also said there is nothing to identify the shipment as ORM-D in the database. The only thing is manual observation of the ORM-D sticker on the packages.
If there is not a sticker, it will likely be delivered to any location for "hold".
If there is a sticker, and noone notices when loading the truck from main warehouse, it gets sent out, and will possibly be rejected at the local Fedex office when unloading.

So I have been calling her and having her "hold" shipment like this for me for pickup.

The trip is worth not having it sit on my porch all day...at least for me.

I tried shipping ammo I sold. The FedEx depot told me they will not ship ammo because it is an explosive. I replied they ship it ORM-D. They told me FedEx no longer ships ammo. I knew they were FOS but that is the stupidity of the employees. So some depots may know the rules better than this $hithole one here in Cheyenne. YMMV.
