    Default Added a muzzle brake......nice!

I picked up a JEC Muzzle brake for the .308 Rem 700 and what a huge difference. Link to Brake

I can see my shots when I pull the trigger and don't have to chase my rifle across the mat. I haven't tried any other brake for a .308 so I have nothing to compare to. Just an FYI

How did it effect POI and group size?
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.

I changed ammo so I had to re sight the rifle. I went from a PPU 145gr to a Hornaday 168gr and the brake and only adjusted 1 moa vertical change. Grouping is great for my level of experience in bolt action shooting.

Was your barrel already threaded? If not, who did you have thread it?

    Thanks.

Much of that may have been the ammo. My 700P doesn't like light loads. 168gr is the sweet spot.

Mine was already threaded. Bert can take care of the threading for you.

Happy with the Hornady 168 at 100 yards but I will be shooting out to 1000 yards in a few weeks. Need to find some Federal GMM 175 and sight in for class. No luck locally at a reasonable price.

Just an update. JEC worked wonders and I was spotting all my shots for corrections while developing dope. Happy customer!
