    Default .308 Brass

I have not done a lot of reloading for the .308, so I am wondering what type of brass do you like more for blaster ammo for reloading? I have my 1050 set up to run .308 brass, and have been thinking about selling some that is processed. I have a few sources for different headstamps, including commercial and military. I think the prices on Gunbroker and other sites are a little to greedy.

What would you prefer, Military or Commercial?

IMI and LC... pretty much any NATO brass is likely going to take a beating longer than commercial Winchester, Federal or RP.

If its going to be shot in a gas gun, headstamp does not matter to me.

For a bolt gun I like LC-LR, Lapua and Winchester.

I ran a thousand rounds of Federal commercial through the 1050, and it was a dream. I am having a few problems with the swager not lining up every time, but a turn of the cartridge it goes. It sounds like military is the way to go, so I may try and find a better source for it.

I shoot a lot of Winchester commercial for the bolt guns, and it's done very well for me. I wouldn't put much faith in Federal brass for anything high pressure. I've just never had them last that long.

I came across a good amount of once fired Hornady match brass recently. I haven't shot it extensively, and I think the term "match" is used pretty loosely (it certainly isn't on par with Lapua brass or anything), but so far it's running just fine in my M1A.
