I bet these will be mildly popular for a while, kind of like the "blackwater" edition shotguns they had a few years back... the 590 and 930's in particular.

I don't think there really is one. I have a few Remington's that have been used for hunting upland and waterfowl, I also have a benelli that has seen both, a beretta O/U that is great for upland and clays But I'm scared to put it in the duck or goose blind and nick it up.
the 870 is the most popular shotgun, behind it is the mossberg 500. now what percentage of those sold and used for duck hunting I have no clue.
They have people coming to them on a regular basis wanting to make money off of them, why should they not. I bet they spend it more responsibly than most Pro athletes. Not a Mossberg fan and advertising dollars are wasted on me, but I have no problem with it.
I would be willing to bet the controversy was manufactured to sell garbage just like this.
