I'm really tired of the canard that Republicans are chasing away Mexicans and other Hispanics. That is a myth invented by the Democrats. What the Republicans have drawn a line on is trying to stem the flood of illegal immigration; liberals -- in and out of the media -- have spun that into latent xenophobia when the Republicans have actually welcomed anyone who wants to work hard, immigrate legally, and assimilate into American culture rather than expecting America to make allowances for THEIR culture (and I say this as a so-called "minority" whose parents and grandparents assimilated).

How is that substantially different from public sector unions? Obviously we're not talking about inmate labor. But when you have unionized workers in public sector jobs and performing functions no one else can do, same-same, is it not? And we all know how liberals love their unions.

Ok, so I know nothing about friends who have never been violent or committed a crime who went to jail or had their lives ruined for pot. Or someone in my family who was nearly not let into the military for a pot infraction because some moron in his car (NOT HIM) was arrested for pot. Which he is still proudly serving honorable and has been for over a decade. The driver of the car thanks to some asinine law was implicated for something out of his control. Should the driver frisk every passenger at all times. Should that apply to bus drivers too? I mean our pot laws make so much sense.

If these friends knew that pot was illegal and could potentially ruin there life or require them to do time why would they smoke pot?? If the law says you smoke pot you go to jail.... DONT SMOKE POT UNLESS YOU WANT TO GO TO JAIL! If you dont like the law vote and change it or go all Red Dawn and overthrow the ruling government!

This thread is great! I enjoy the argument of I dont agree with the law so I won't follow it and then I will be shocked when I'm punished.

I miss Magpul. I poor some out for Chris Costa every time I crack open a 40.
