Mil/Mil is really nice Bear. I love it because there is really no math or conversion needed. I too had some trouble doing MOA on my first scope now they are all Mil/Mil fixed or FFP (first focal plane). The advantage to having you reticle match your turret is not to be understated. I wish I knew a music analogy for you but I'm not smart enough!

I would recommend the SWFA 10x fixed scope (they also have 6x,12x,16x,20x). They only cost $300, are strong, have good glass & turrets and have parallax down to around 20y. If your looking for variable they have those for extra cash. I would bet dollars to donuts that some of the nice people here on the forum would let try out some glass, and you know you can always go to Hoser's match for some scope fondling. Just stay away from those S&B scopes, unless you have an extra kidney on ebay.
