Program the FRS/GMRS/MURS frequencies in your baofeng... you will hear all kinds of stuff like drive throughs, the crane operator at the new VA hospital is GMRS channel 3, and some school bus conversations.

You still need a license to talk GMRS when not using a walmart 2-way radio.
I ran across those channels on Radio Reference. I'll have to write down some of the GMRS stuff and see what I can hear.
