Default "I Forgot My Phone"-Poignant video about smartphone obsession

It's a short, 2 min video, but it really illustrates the extreme of smartphone obsession, we as a society need to live in the moment more... Kind of makes me think I should just keep my phone in my pocket a lot more than I currently do, I've caught myself messing with it way too much recently.

I saw an article on the news the other day about how much less you remember special moments when you are taking pictures or videos of those same special moments.

My mom drives me nuts with that. She constantly wants pictures at every family get together. I get it, pictures are nice, but what are you going to do with those pictures? Not a damn thing.

Yeah I tend to not take pictures of events much, because I know I won't look at them later. I do find that I take TONS of pictures of things now. It's because of the internet though. I find when I'm making some project and trying to document it on here, it is kind of annoying to stop all the time to take shots of what I'm doing. Especially since my phone is usually playing music.

Makes me glad I don't even have a dumb phone.

    Your loss...

Still amazes me the folks that refuse to own a smart phone based on some non existent principal. My phone doesn't consume my life, but I can do just about anything I need to in the palm of my hands.

Now if cost is an issue for you, that's another story, because smart phones can be costly.

$350 for my phone and $30 a month for unlimited data through T-Mobile. Its costly if you let yourself get screwed by ATT or Verizon.

And what about those of us that live in areas with virtually non-existent service? Rarely do I have to leave this general area and even buddies with the baddest of the bad of phones don't get much if any signal back here.

No non-existent principles involved, just no real need. If I need a computer, you'll find me sitting in a designated chair in my house, like now.

Your situation sounds like a very valid reason to not own a smart phone. I wouldn't pay for a service I couldn't use either.
