Rant: Car alarms and worthless neighboors..

So I sit here writing this with a migraine - so this may not come out as the intended rant.. It long, but context is needed.

[BACKGROUND]
My new neighbors are effing worthless scum. The little old lady that used to own the house, and has turned into my almost adopted mother, kept that house beautiful and clean - but she moved last year to 'downsize'. She sold the house to a 'nice' couple with 3 kids - all in their teens. When they moved in we gave them a week or two and then caught them in the front yard, introduced ourselves, and tried to make nice-nice. In the process we learned that they were FLAMING UBER liberals (the government needs to make sure everyone has jobs and no one should ever be 'poor' types) - which is odd since the female of the two spent 8 years in the service. But live and let live.. as long as they kept to themselves I couldn't care less...

But they can't keep to themselves. Fuck they cant even take basic care of their property. They leave their trash cans out for days after the trash service has come, they have weeds in their yard 18 inches high, they refuse to shovel their sidewalks after it snows ("that's the cities job" -- no it isn't you idiotic twit, read your HOA agreement), they have two dogs that constantly bark all damn day -- oh and they haven't cleaned-up after those dogs since they moved in.. the smell in the summer was outrageous, thank god for winter - and they constantly park their car in front of my house, backwards on the street (I have gotten HOA complaints because of their damned car).

And now - their car alarm has been going off since ~0430 this morning.. Its a rhythmic kinda nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc.. When it woke me up I went and looked - nothing but a snow covered car in their un-shoveled drive. I gave it 10 minutes.. nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc..nnnncccc..nnnnccc.. .nnnnncccc..nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc.... Okay, now I am fully awake.

I get dressed, go over and knock on their door. No answer. Listen asshats I know your home. Answer your damned door.

Okay its early - give it some time, I may have woken them up. Fuck them - I'm awake. POUND.. POUND.. POUND.. POUND.. RING...RING..RING..RING..RING.. No answer.

RING.. POUND.. WAIT.. RING.. POUND.. WAIT.... After 25 minutes the teenage daughter comes down and opens the door.

"Your car alarm has been going off for 45 minutes.. Can you please shut it up?"
"Oh.. Let me go get him (meaning father/brother I am assuming)."

I wait.. 5 minutes.. Car alarm still blaring.. 10 minutes.. Car alarm still blaring..

I ring and pound on the door again...

Daughter comes to the door again - she says "Its still going off.."

Yeah no shit..? Really? I couldn't fucking tell.

I ask - are your parents home? - Her reply "I texted them but they wont answer.."

I tell her to go get the alarm and turn it off - then go wake up her parents and get their lazy asses outside. NOW!

She goes and gets the alarm fob - comes out and tries to press it. Wont work.. Later, rinse, repeat for 5 minutes.. The alarm finally shuts up.

Kid walks back into the house without saying a word.. Fine - don't care. It silent..

I go back to bed - try to go back to sleep.. try.. try.. try.. Finally fall back asleep around 0730..

nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc..nnnncccc..nnnnccc.. .nnnnncccc..nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc....nnnnc ccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc..nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnn ncccc..nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc....

Its back.. 0830 and its fucking back.. nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc..nnnncccc..nnnnccc.. .nnnnncccc..nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc....

I get up. Notice their other car is gone. But the sound of that fucking car alarm is still there - growing and growing.. Taunting me..

0900 I go next door and pray that someone is there - someone I can fucking UNLEASH on. I bang on the door, ring the door bells, their dogs are in the house and barking at me through the windows - yap yap yap yap yap..nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc..nnnncccc....

No answer.. Fuck them.. No answer.. No answer except that constant nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc.. taunting me.

0930 I call the HOA (I fucking hate the HOA too and I am not one of those people that call - I have been here 15 years and have never called them before) and give them the skinny. They say "Oh were sorry. We have lots of complaints about that address...." and they suggest I call DCSO.

I don't want to call the Sheriff - they have much more important things to do - but that nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc..nnnncccc..nnnnccc.. .nnnnncccc..nnnncccc..nnnnccc... needs to FUCKING STOP..

I call DCSO - explain the situation and they say they will send an Officer out. I ask them if I can disable the alarm under the guise that it is a public nuisance and I am taking reasonable steps to abate the problem. No dice.

So I sit here - 8 hours later. With a migraine and constant nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc..nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc..nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc....nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncc cc..nnnncccc..nnnnccc...nnnnncccc.. resonating through my house..

I hope each and every one of those idiots next door gets Lou Gehrig's disease and their brains rot away. I hope they have to sit in pool of their own feces and urine - unable to control their slightest body movement - while some 400lb nurse man-handles daily them and leaves them atrophy away in the corner of some government run hospital somewhere..

I hate my neighbors. Fuck them. I hope that fucking PoS Subaru explodes in a fire-ball while the whole family is driving off to some leftist hippie rally. I giant fireball of global warming proportions..

I seriously feel for you--I've been in that position and can't do my job without sleep. FWIW, if I were your neighbor and saw you prying open the hood and smashing the horn, I wouldn't say a word. Other than "thank you" in passing.

Why would the daughter need to text her parents? Either they are home (go fucking get them) or they are not (call them and ask how to shut it off). Sounds like a dysfunctional family all around. And if they are that shitty at being human, they probably aren't good with their finances so they probably won't live there long.

This is beyond MYOB territory since they are negatively impacting your life and ability to enjoy your home. I would start a campaign and enlist other neighbors for support--you can bet they feel the same way you do.
