Default Democratic Lawmaker Negligently Fires Gun In Chambers

http://www.nbcnews.com/id/54014749#.Us7K5rHn9aR We know who the problem gun owners are. Why isn't party affiliation part of the background check?

"She was emptying the weapon and she thought that it was empty and pointed it away and down and pulled the trigger and it went off" Sounds like someone doesn't know how to clear a weapon! Why would you pull a trigger when emptying the weapon with the safety off and without checking the chamber? Hell, I'm still a relative novice, and I know those things!

Probably not the ideal state for this to matter in. Now, had a D politician in CA/IL/MA/CT/NJ/MD/NY let one fly in their office, it'd have been somewhat more hypocritical, but a D politician in KY is likely to the right of a R politician in any of the aforementioned states.

Geez, that's right in the area where my family is from and I was down there over Christmas. What I find most disturbing is that the article says she obtained a concealed carry permit years ago, and yet apparently she does not know how to clear her weapon.

From other reports, she stated "I'm a gun owner. It happens" and "I guess I should stick to revolvers".

    This^^^.

And why was she messing with the firearm to begin with. Play show and tell with your friends on your own time.

Newflash for the Dimbulb from Kaintuck ... a round in the chamber is a round in the chamber regardless of whether the gun is a revolver or a semi-automatic.
