    I used linked in today.

I'm in sales and have been working on a prospect for the last 3 mobths and have been unable to meet with the guy that makes the decision. I noticed on linkedin that one of my connections were connected to this guy

I sent an email/message to my connection asking about their connection and explaining that I've been trying to make and appointment with him. About an hour later I got a call from "the guy" who decided to call me based off a professional relationship with a mutual colleague.

The sale should be worth about $200,000 to our company and about $4,000 in my pocket

My take on LinkedIn is, for the most part, if you can't pick up the phone and call someone you're interested in linking with, you probably shouldn't ask. There are lots of people I've met once or twice, or know vaguely through someone else that I do not link.
Poor sentence structure on my part, Brutal.

Meant "if it works for all you folks that use it and like it, great"....not you specifically, Sir.
