Was the theater the target, or the ammo?

In all seriousness, this is so stupid. People trying to cause others serious harm for such small infractions. We really need to teach our children to respect life.

Wow, the natives are restless. "Had it coming"...really, taking someone's life because they are rude, really...if anyone really thinks that, please, get some professional help and by all means, stay away from guns until you can get it under control. There is NEVER an "okay" time to take a life except in war or to protect innocent life from grave harm and or death. Sure the "texter" may not have been "innocent", but he did not deserve death.

An armed society is a polite society only if people respect others. Rudeness is encouraged throughout the American culture, in fact brash in your face rudeness is no longer uncommon. We may be past that point in the USA where respect of our fellow man, much less his life, is still the common denominator.

The guy killed by his sister was shot with a .22. IIRC, mob hitmen favored .22s because they were going to get close to their targets anyway and the bullet gets really mangled.

Too bad it happened during the film Lone Survivor.

It was just the previews, I bet the video asking for everyone to shut off their phones wasn't even played yet.

I agree that it was fueled by both sides, I'm just saying in the CCW class I took, I heard that while carrying a firearm, it is also your responsibility to not let things escalate to that point. There are many times that while driving I want to give people the finger for driving like idiots, however I remember that I DO have a firearm in the car and DON'T want to increase the likelihood of me having to use it on anyone.
