Not sure how you kill a 7.3L, but this guy managed to do it. Buyer beware.

Might just need a cam sensor. If those go bad the engine will not start.

I was teasing tmleader03 about the International Scout that he bought and mentioned in another thread - a Scout that looks just like one I owned about **mumble mumble ** years ago that my wife hated. And I recently wished I'd not sold when I was last on Independence Mountain rodeo'ing through some snow drifts in my Cherokee.

I remember spending half an hour trying to get my Jeep started when a crank position sensor went on me. Unplugging and replugging resistors and fuses, disconnecting the battery, you name it-I did it. Finally turned over and got home.

Looked up the replacement procedure, laughed, and paid the $120 in labor.

This one will be up and running by the beginning of next month. I will get it to be a daily driver for a week or so to make sure it is good to go and then up for sale it goes. I will make sure to let you know with plenty of pictures...

tmleader03, you just want me dead. Admit it. And here I had such nice thoughts about you ...

Of course, I could be preemptive and "test drive" it by the house and watch her have a heart attack ...

The CPS doesn't make the list yet. The issue is a no start after the head gaskets were replaced. If the truck was running before and now after the HG's were changed it won't start then I wouldn't look any further than the HPO system which includes the injectors. Did he plug the wire harness together above the drivers side VC? Is the WTS light on? Does the tach move when he cranks. These are the areas that you can check on the spot.
