Maybe I am vulnerable right now because I am sick (have some sort of flu), but crap like this & the video that followed of the children kept in chains, just make my heart hurt. Between that and all of the officer shootings lately...
I know this kind of thing happens all of the time, but that is the sad part, it happens all of the time. Sometimes I get real cynical and think, better off with out them (the Mother). Honestly, that's my attitude most of the time, but sometimes I get real discouraged (like with the officer deaths) and think how tragic it is that some kid, some wife, some mother, has lost their son. It is hard to look at the world sometimes & think that we are all "God's Children".
I guess what it really boils down to for me is that I have to keep my side of the street clean & love those in my life like I may never see them again.

It's times like these that make me cherish what I have & to be thankful to & for those that I love.

I am glad to be here & glad to get to know you guys.
