I have had a few glitches with the USPS but overall their service is par with anyone else out there. Selling on ebay, I've mailed hundreds of packages around the world for years and have had only one get 'lost'. Maybe I'm lucky.
As mentioned before, fedex, ups and other shippers use the USPS for final delivery to many rural addresses. Not sure how that shipping cost gets broken down but it works. As far as the rates going up all the time, from what I understand the USPS is bellying up and banking-up for the pensions due to it's employees (I'm not one), not many gov agencies are doing the same.
Just my opinion.
Probably not, I don't fill out any of the cards before I mail them. The envelopes are postage pre paid, my mailman is happy.
I sent another board member something on January 4th and it still isnt there.
Denver to Lakewood and 19 days later it still isnt there.....really sucks

My wife's paychecks go from WP to Denver. The last few have taken 10-14 days to make the trip. Insane.
