    i really want a phaeton w12(because im a glutton for punishment)

    couple of years ago they were 120k now you can scoop em up under 15k

    That's what we call a clue. Plugs for that is only 2.6 oddly enough.

    I've gotten to drive one for well over a month. Through all kinds of weather.. 700 miles driven in one day.. and I can tell you I love that SUV.

    It's a great lesson in static vs sliding friction coefficients. The way to win is to let the other guy pull you until he starts to spin. His friction coefficient goes to hell. Then you start pulling without spinning your tires. Easy win every time. It has close to nothing to do with the vehicles involved.

    You beat me to it.

    HP/Torque is one variable, but kinetic friction between tires and track is another. Good traction control system can be an another significant factor as well.

    I just wish I could get a 4 cylinder Tdi in a AWD car/small SUV from VW or Audi. Dream car would be the resurrection of the cab forward Vanagon Camper in AWD with locking difs with a Tdi.
