With a 1 in 10 twist you'll be able to handle 55gr bullets with no issue. Experiment, see what it likes best. Will it take 75gr bullets? Probably not, at least not with any accuracy, but you should not worry about it handling standard ammo.

Wow what a deal. To find an upper in new condition for $366 and to be IN STOCK is amazing. Yeah its 10 years old but who cares. Im definitely jealous. I paid $610 for my cmmg middy and Im still waiting. I cant even expect it to go into production for at least another month or two![]()
Great find!
Oh BTW, I picked up a CMMG stripped lower from Pete at Shawdow River productions, for $150!! Super awsome nice guy, and great price!
I reccomend him highly. Check out his website. www.evilblackrifleshop.com
He's right here in the springs.
I spent my Obama Stimulus money on a GUN!

Sarcasm, Learn it, Know it, Live it....
Spleify 7-27-12Marlin is the end all be all of everything COAR-15...
Its easy, so long as you can find a new barrel
Nice find. I don't consider myself an AR newb, but I've never run across a 1/10 twist before.
What twist were the original colt rifles?
Come to think of it, I've never even bothered to check. I always ASSumed they were 1/9, 1/8, or 1/7.
