    Default What 10.5" bbl?

I have been searching high and low for a "good" 10.5" barrel but cannot seem to narrow it down to something I am 100% set on. Seems that the only barrel I can find right now is a Rainer Arms. Noveske seems to be the way to go but they are bit rich for my blood and are almost impossible to find in stock. What are my options? I have also thought about buying a 16" bbl from a reputable company and having it cut down and rethreaded. What are the disadvantages and advantages? Any opinions would be appreciated.

Why not just get a 11.5" and avoid the timing issues and everyone has a 11.5".

I should have been more clear when I wrote it. That's what happens when you read all night and then try to post when you are tired. I already have a BCM 11.5" pistol that is pending approval for an SBR. I could stay with the 11.5" bushy barrel that I have now but wanted something a bit shorter to run my kx3 piggy under. I am better off trying to find a decent 10.5" bbl and if so what kind? Or having a longer one cut down to what I want?

If you want to tuck the KX3 under your handguard you could always use your 11.5" barrel and just go with a 12" handguard.

    Just an option.

That was my idea but I wanted to get a bit shorter handguard if possible. If anything else I will do that.

I had an LMT 10.5" that I never should have let go, you might consider that brand.

How soon do you need your barrel? I will have 10.5 or 10.3 barrels, 16", and possible a 20" after March 1.

I will have many different contours, etc.

We have contemplated doing our own barrels, but it is a science, and art in itself. Currently Lothar Walther does our barrels, but we are in negotiations with FN, and Bergara. FN will be for our Mil Spec battle rifle line coming in the future, while Begarra, and Lothar Walther will supply our precision under 1 MOA barrels.

Begarra will be the fastest to supply our current need; 10.5 or 10.3, and 16" fluted barrels. Both will be available in Stainless, and Molly.

What price range will they fall in? I am interested.

Until we finalize the pricing, I am not sure. I can tell you that the Stainless Steel (W/Nitride) Lothar Walther barrels are about $200. I will update the cost later next week after we finish negotiating.
