As always, made some changes. I ended up selling the VROD and CBR. I found an extremely clean, bone stock, one owner 2008 Yamaha Raider 113ci with only 4800 miles on it. I didn?t waste anytime and started making it more my style. 2-1 exhaust, big air kit, Ivan?s flash, 240 rear tire and some 8? straight risers. I had a Raider a year or two ago but for a very short period of time. I forgot how punchy they are and now with all the extras, it would give my old vrod a run for its money. He also had the OEM quick detach sissy bar/pad which I guess is pretty rare.

In typical SouthPaw fashion, I always rotate sport bikes. I found a deal on 2009 GSXR 1000 K9. Again, one owner, clean and setup nicely. Werkes exhaust and a Power Commander PC-V. He said he had it dyno tuned some years ago and it put down 155hp+ to the wheel. I?ve been running 107 octane in it and it pulls like a freight train. I haven?t owned many Zuk?s but it?s a solid bike. I?ll probably end up selling this one if anyone is interested.

And lastly. Of course after picking up the GSXR, a few days later, a beautiful 2011 R1 popped up. I told myself to look away but I had to at least check it out since it was in the next neighborhood over from me. Long story short, it?s now sitting in the garage too. The crossplane R1 is hands down my favorite motorcycle. I?m a Yamaha guy anyways but when the crossplane R1 was first released, I swore I?d have one. I?ve had a few of them over the years so maybe I?ll end up actually keeping one. I wasn?t in love with the color but I was able to look past it due to how clean it is. It is starting to grow on me a bit though.

I've been watching some videos of the Isle of Man races.... 200mph on a 37-mile lap which includes tight turns and city streets.

Man, nothing lets you know how inexperienced of a rider you are like riding on snow. Still can't do a wheelie.

I took this picture a few weeks ago. Seemed like a bike you don't see around here a lot, but I don't really know. Is it British?

It's a Royal Enfield Himilayan. Originally a British bike, but I think they are now built in India. Looks like an interesting bike!

The Royal Enfield factory was moved to India, I think in the 1950's. Last I heard they were the biggest MC manufacturer in India (and India has a HUGE motorcycle market, mostly due to the fact that motorcycles are cheaper than cars, easier to store, park, etc and the weather generally means you can ride year 'round in most of India.)

RE introduced a line of 2 cyl motorcycles a couple of years ago. There is at least one RE dealer in the Metro area, Foothills, which also sells Triumph and BMW.
