I've owned my 85 XT since 1998. Great bikes. Don't remove the baffle from the exhaust, as it doesn't make it run any better. The carbs are the most convoluted, pointless design ever, so rejetting is a pain. The engine itself makes an anvil look fragile, however.Originally Posted by CavSct1983

Sounds like a terrible problem to have...
2015 DRZ400SM - only have 450 miles on it so far. Already have had it over a bunch of the passes around Silverton. Need to jet it properly soon!
