I sold my zx14 last year and I regret it. I bought it to flip it and did so; but it wasn't an easy choice. After owning 10 other 1000 rockets, the extra 400cc made it another animal. She needed quite a bit of love when I picked her up but only had 7K miles. Lots of broken or missing plastics, had been laid over on both sides and more. I decided to do a complete overhaul: full exhaust, power commander, butterfly valves removed, -1 on the front sprocket, new fairings, all new fluids, chain service, etc. Ran like a cheetah on cocaine after that. You will thoroughly enjoy that bike if you haven't already. Always brought a smile on my face if I could keep the front wheel down.

For being a big girl, I could sling this thing into corners pretty easy. To the point I could drag the foot pegs on the on ramp to I-25.

How can you remove the butterfly valves and it still run? This is interesting to me.

They ride really nice for being as big as they are. I've ridden my brothers a fair amount, and buying one is on the list.

I wish I had known you were selling...

I should clarify, it is the secondary/butterfly valves as they call it. They sit above the primaries and only open after 3K rpm thus restricting air flow. Once removed, its WOT no matter what RPM you are in.

I have always owned rockets and now looking to get something more comfortable. For the price and the reviews, it looks like it's a hard bike to beat.

They are one sweet machine. It was posted on here and craigs but sold within a few days. I priced it considerably lower than others since it had aftermarket plastics and still some cosmetic blemishes. Keep an eye out thought, I have seen some good deals this winter for them.

I kinda come and go on the board, and I think remember seeing it had been posted and sold at one point.

I still kinda watch, but I've got a list of things that I watch for to spend money on.
