    Default Magpul stock issues.

Think this goes here. My buffer tube is milspec, I haven't calipered it myself but website specs claim it at 1.14". And I bought a milspec stock.

It seems as though the stop pin doesn't protrude high enough to catch the holes in the buffer tube. Side by side the magpul stock pin is considerably lower than my stock stock. When I depress the latch on the magpul the stop pin does not go flush with the stock but goes below.

    What did I do wrong?

Pics below. Magpul on right. Sorry for crap pics. TYIA!

Don't know if this helps but when I fully depress the pins that knob recesses below the grade of the stock. My standard stock the knob peeks out.

I think the stop pin was set up too low, most likely a manufacture error. Unfortunately I think your stock is a lemon, you should try contact Magpul.

Assuming your buffer tube isn't to blame, I think the stop pin was installed upside down.

I would consider pressing out the roll pin and flipping it over. I'm certain there's a spring involved so be careful.

Yeah there is a spring. But the underside of the pin doesn't have a cap. Probably no pinhole either. Just my luck!

Guess I just wanted to check with the smart guys before I make a dumb move.

I am almost 100% sure that yours is a PTS not MAGPUL. It's for airsoft and the pin does look upside down. Bring it to Bowers, have Rob look at it.

I'll double check when I get home. I don't recall seeing PTS anywhere. I bought it locally from a trusted shop. Magpul box and all.

Upside down...fml..Anyone got pics of what its supposed to look like?
