Lee 45 die decapping pin wont stay?

I used a large pipe wrench and a 1/2" drive ratchet and finally got it tight enough. Hopefully I never have to adjust it.

My 9mm Lee dies did that. I had to tighten the thing down so tight that I thought that it was going to strip out and even then on occasion it would pop the de-priming pin up. It still works, but I have since bought RCBS dies for 9mm and they just don't have any problems so I use them. If they break I have the lee to fall back on in a pinch.

I had that same issue. It might be a glued in primer. Unless its doing it on every round. I ran into some remmington .556 with a red circle around the primer. Everyone of those gave me trouble. Untill I soaked the in goof off

Those are sealed primers. If they were sealed, they were also likely crimped. If your decapping pin (lee) moves then it is either not tight enough, or the shaft or collet has worn from too much prior slippage or was out of spec to begin with. Send the die back to lee for replacement. Tighten the shit outta it.
