Default TSA rejects arming officers... oh thank God!

This just in, in light of the LAX shooting in Novemeber there was a lot of noise out of the TSA union to augment their screeners with armed personnel... Well the big wigs say no. And we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
    From the AP:
TSA rejects arming officers after LAX shooting

The head of the TSA said his agency has officially rejected arming officers in response to a November attack at LAX

The head of the Transportation Security Administration said Thursday his agency has officially rejected arming officers in response to a November attack at Los Angeles International Airport.
    ...
TSA union officials have called for creating armed officers from the agency to ensure safety at screening checkpoints. But Pistole said virtually every issue is on the table except for arming officers. Introducing more guns is not the solution, he said.
    ...
The Associated Press has reported that as terrified travelers dived for cover, TSA officers — who are unarmed — fled the screening area without hitting a panic button or using a landline to call for help. Meanwhile, the two armed airport police officers assigned to protect the terminal had left for breaks minutes before the gunfire and so were unaware of the shooting.
It took a call from an airline contractor to a police dispatcher, who then alerted officers over the radio, nearly a minute and a half after the shooting first started.

So basically keep the cops that they already have assigned to airports, no need to arm those TSA dunces, and just improve communication and coordination between TSA and LE... works for me, and we aren't giving the TSA one more piece of power. Of course I don't like Pistole's anti remark that "introducing more guns is not the solution." Sounds a lot like some Dems in congress...

I for one would feel totally more safer if these douches carried guns.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

    For now.

There is probably a significant percentage of the gate-rapers that are prohibited persons. So let's not assume they aren't covering their own rear with this "decision." It would expose the folly of the TSA and the police-state apparatus that team gov is building.

I'm glad they made the right decision. Let the real cops who are trained take care of handling weapons.

TSA.....I have absolutely nothing nice to say about them. I rarely fly, but when I do I have 70% of the time seen TSA employees being rude.

These Assholes do not need to be armed. Call 911, your gov brothers will be there for you.

They are covering up because they don't what the truth to come out. A quick check they ran determined that less that 1% of their employees could pass a background check to possess a gun.

Wait til ABC picks up the story. If they'll give guns to kids, they'll give guns to these clowns.
