I was thinking the exact same thing while watching this.

At least the whole convoy slowed down to a crawl to make it easier for them......not that they would need to since they could just walk out in front of the lead vehicle and hijack it grand theft auto style when it gently comes to a stop in front of them

The point is to save American lives... And since supply convoy is most targeted in low tensity conflict, this will serve its purpose.

That's what I was thinking. Also, how does it differentiate between "object negotiation" and "traffic sensing?" I was waiting for it to "sense traffic" on that SUV and politely wait for the SUV to pass. Maybe honk the horn a few times, flash its lights, then for the SUV to explode.

Is the unit cost of one soldier + one normal truck greater than one outfitted truck like these? I'm not trying to be harsh, but we KNOW there is someone out there making that exact calculation. The plus size is that as we get closer to Skynet, all this technology becomes ever cheaper so I wouldn't be surprised if we have already crossed that threshold.

Definitely. Most casualty of war are not deaths but permanent injuries which are extremely expensive and long term.

I agree but shouldn't these things be controlled like drones? The tech just doesn't seem to be there
